Games of Glass

9^th Annual New Works Festival

Directed by  Matthew B. Zrebski

Games of Glass will feature two separate programs, performing in rotating repertory.

How do young people shape their own realities?  Where is truth in the midst of illusion and manipulation?  Is the journey to adulthood nothing more than a game where the players might shatter like fragile glass?  In this year’s festival, these questions are explored through three bold, and very stylish plays.

Lines

In Lines, Miles Martin has penned a hilarious, absurd comedy where a group of teenagers wait and wait…and wait for the play to begin.  But what is the play?  Is it even written?  The invisible Producers are always watching, dictating what can and cannot be presented.  This leads to an eventual coup where revelations just might explode from within…


The Rapture

In The Rapture, writer Rachel Bubalo takes us on a horrifying excursion into Johnny’s world of prescription pills.  His mysterious relationship with Lorelei is constantly interrupted by violent and haunting visions as potential friends, possible lovers, and blood-hungry dogs hunt him  - all while a mass of parental ghosts force him to face an unspeakable past…

Spinning Yarn

In Spinning Yarn, Natina Gilbert has written a phantasmagoric bedtime story where Clementine, pajama clad and under the covers is swept up in a whirlwind of wild and bizarre characters and memories.  Something has happened…and something lurks within her…and something is about to give.  Both whimsical and tragic…both hilarious and heartbreaking…Clementine must confront the secrets of the many summers she can never forget.

Sign ups are on the auditorium door.  If there are no more time slots please see Mr. Peerenboom to arrange an audition

Your audition package is linked over there => You need all five documents and a head shot.

Auditions are Monday and Tuesday 2/27 & 2/28 after school.

If you cannot make your audition slot please remove it from the door so another actor can take the slot.
